I’m not your standard-issue wedding photographer. It’s been a long strange path that started with a little box camera when I was 8 years old. Not content to just take snapshots, I soon learned that the shutter could be held down to create blurs of light and dark. I still haven’t stopped playing with photographs, but now my toys are considerably more hi-tech. When I photograph your wedding you’re getting a pro with an eye for beauty and the drive to capture moments that make your wedding day exceptional. I am available for wedding photography throughout Alaska and around the world. Your unforgettable wedding deserves unforgettable photography.

You will discover playing at Fireweed Meadows Golf Course to be an exciting and challenging golf experience that may only be surpassed by the world-class salt and fresh water fishing our area is famous for. Fireweed Meadows is a beautiful and relaxing golf course that will test the skill of the best player and be enjoyable for the beginner as well. Fireweed Meadows is the first golf course in the State of Alaska to feature new technology synthetic turf on all tee boxes, greens and fringe. After two years of research, we were convinced that the advanced technology of synthetic turf would be ideally suited to ensure great golfing in Alaska. The turf is made from the softest yarn in the industry, along with the longest pile height for greens. Also, the unique patent pending, quartz infill and top dressing will allow a green to receive a shot from 200 yards out and the ball will not bounce, skip, or jump.

The charming village of Halibut Cove, on Ismailof Island across Kachemak Bay from Homer, Alaska, was the scene of a thriving herring fishery in the early 1900's. At its peak 36 saltrys operated here. The fishery collapsed in 1928. A colorful aspect of Halibut Cove's past, bootleggers' stills were tucked in among the spruce during prohibition. Halibut Cove is now home to a few dozen residents. You'll have time to see it during your 2 1/2 hour visit on the Kachemak Bay Ferry, the “Danny J”. Stroll the 12 blocks of boardwalk. Enjoy a bite to eat or your favorite drink at the Saltry Restaurant. Visit Diana Tillion's famed art gallery; she's best known for her octopus ink paintings. You may want to hike on one of the Island's many beautiful trails or quiet beaches. Don't forget your binoculars and camera - the island is rich in bird life and natural beauty.
