Enjoy our wilderness setting yet be close to town! Our quiet retreat is conveniently located just 2 ½ miles from the town of Homer, Alaska. From our large deck and bay windows, enjoy the majestic view of the Homer spit, mountains, glaciers and bay. Your hostess, Maria, makes you feel comfortable in her beautiful, spacious home. She has lived in Homer since 1983 and is familiar with everything Homer has to offer, especially when it comes to fishing! Her sons are all commercial fishermen – a true Alaska fishing family!
Lodging and Inn: Majestic View features 7 unique accommodations ranging from guest rooms to apartments. All rooms come with private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, TVs, DVD players and mini-fridges. We also have a 2-bedroom apartment and 2 studio apartments with kitchenettes. Maria’s amazing breakfasts are included in your stay. Our common area offers numerous places to curl up, relax, enjoy a cup of tea or a glass of wine, read or visit. Huge windows wrap around the kitchen and living area showing off the expansive views. Outside the deck faces the ocean and mountains and has patio furniture, a picnic table, a grill for guests and an outdoor fireplace.
Location and Things to Do: Located just a short distance from Homer, where you’ll find great restaurants, shopping, unique local art and museums. Explore “the Spit,” the harbor, “the fishing hole” and numerous public beaches. Need help planning your day? Maria has the advice, knowledge and information that will make your stay a great one!
